Hi and Welcome...
Welcome to Minnie Florence Design. As a designer, along with working on various projects, I am always updating, upscaling, moving things around - I don't believe an interior is ever truly finished but rather a work in progress! My own style is quite eclectic, from second hand store finds to classic design pieces, I firmly believe if you choose pieces that you love and trust your instincts, it will all work together to create a home that is intrinsically and authentically you, and bring your interiors to life.
Very much like fashion, Interior trends change with the year and the seasons, as long as you have the basics right (scale, proportion, balance) it can be a lot of fun to do a quick update, whether it be with paint colour, accessories, upscaling a piece you have found in a vintage or second hand store or simply moving things about.
I'm looking forward to posting my latest project/ design activities each week and hearing your feedback, in the meantime I've included some photos of a few recent small project to get the ball rolling...
I "inherited" this original bentwood chair some time ago, it was in a very dilapidated state but it was worth saving.... after sanding and glueing I decided to go with a soft mustard and to dip dye the legs, love the final result!
